Many of our regular guests are families with children travelling between northern and southern Italy on the A14, or between the Adriatic and Rome. They arrive late in the evening and set off again the next morning: a single night, not a real holiday. And yet they come back every year — because even for one night, the difference between an anonymous hotel room and a house with a garden, rabbits and a space of your own is something you feel. Below, why La Tana works even for those just passing through.

Location · A14 exit and railway station

  • The A14 "San Benedetto del Tronto" exit is 3 km from the house (5 minutes by car).
  • From the north: the "Grottammare" exit is also 3 km away, heading south.
  • San Benedetto railway station is 650 metres from the house (9 minutes on foot).
  • By car you arrive right outside the house (Via Risorgimento 43, right in the centre).

What makes a single night worth it

Even for twelve hours, the difference is real: the children can run in the garden after eight hours in the car; the adults can have dinner at the living-room table instead of in a hotel dining room; in the morning you have breakfast in the kitchen at your own pace, with no buffet timetable. Many of our regular guests are families who discovered the house once while passing through and decided to come back the next year for a proper holiday.

The parking question · being honest

We don't have private parking. Via Risorgimento is a blue zone (€1.50/h; in summer you pay every day, 9am–midnight). For anyone arriving late in the evening and leaving in the morning, the parking cost for those few hours is minimal — often less than €10 in total. For those who'd rather not pay, there are free car parks 5–10 minutes on foot (Via Manara, Piazzale Mar del Plata). Many of our regular guests have decided that paying in the blue zone isn't a real problem, given everything else the house offers for a night.

Frequently asked questions for a one-night stay

  • Do you accept bookings for a single night? Yes, message us on WhatsApp to check availability.
  • Is there a late check-in? Yes, even after 8pm — just let us know.
  • Can I unload the luggage outside the door? Yes, pull up in front of the house first to unload (and sometimes the children or older family members), then look for parking at your leisure.
  • Can I arrive with a dog that's tired after eight hours in the car? Of course — the fenced garden is the first place it can stretch its legs.
  • Can I have breakfast here instead of stopping at the motorway services? Yes — there's a capsule coffee machine, a kettle and a microwave.
