Since August 2024 San Benedetto has had an official dog beach — the dog-friendly beach (in the area of the Pineta dei Funai), north of the molo nord, on the boundary with Grottammare. Plus the fenced Parco Bau and two trusted veterinary clinics: Gallo (the nearest, for routine visits) and Marche Sud in Grottammare (open 24 hours for emergencies). Important: on the town's ordinary beaches dogs are banned from 1 April to 31 October (the bathing season); outside that period access is free.

  An official dog beach — set up by the Comune of San Benedetto in August 2024. Official name: "Spiaggia per cani dog friendly". It's north of the molo nord, in the area of the Pineta dei Funai, on the boundary with the Comune of Grottammare. Free access, no charge, no formalities — you just have to follow the rules posted at the entrance (on the lead while passing through, picking up after your dog, up-to-date vaccinations).

  Parco Bau

  A double-gated fenced dog park, with agility games and courses and a separate sandy area. Dogs can run free. It's in the northern part of town, 600 metres from the house (about 7 minutes on foot).

  The veterinary clinic nearest the house, run by Dr Giuseppe Gallo. We recommend it for routine visits, vaccinations and ordinary care — we use it ourselves for our own animals.
