A few practical tips

  • A gentle shelf everywhere

All the town's beaches are of fine sand with a slowly shelving bottom. Even two-year-olds can play safely up to 15–20 metres from the shore.

  • Gelaterie in the centre

Along Via XX Settembre and Corso Mazzini there are at least five artisan gelaterie — more than one with lactose-free and gluten-free ice cream.

  • Drinking water in the square

A free drinking fountain in Piazza Matteotti — handy for refilling water bottles during the day.

  • Beach clubs with a games room

Some beach clubs offer an indoor play area for rainy days or strong sun. Ask at the club whether it has a mini-club: it's often included in the parasol price.
